The Pilling® Jackson Esophageal Dilator has proved popular and effective among surgeons. Now available in a durable silicone material (latex free). This configuration is the safest of all forms of dilators because of the thin, flexible stem that enables accurate ocular guidance of the dilator into the lumen of the stricture. A small size (12 Fr.) is often useful to make sure of a lumen ahead at the cricopharyngeal and hiatal levels during esophagoscopy as well as in cases of stenosis. The steel stem also permits the use of the tiniest filiform sizes. Overall length ranges from 25" (63.5 cm) for the 8 - 12 Fr. to 26 5/8" (67.5 cm) for the 20 - 42 Fr.
