For occlusion of the neck of sacciform aneurysms of the aorta in tangential excision of such aneurysms and subsequent aortorraphy. Also for temporary occlusion of the aorta in resection of fusiform aneurysms of the aorta in resection and restoration of continuity by aortic grafts.
