Product review summary
• Specialty Sponges
• Rosebud/Cherry Sponges
• Smaller versions of peanut sponges, rosebud sponges are used for dissection and absorption where precise dissection is necessary during delicate surgical procedures such as thyroidectomies, colostomy closures, hepatic resections, laryngectomies and abdominal aortic and other vascular procedures.
• Cherries are very tightly spun spherical sponges used for very gentle dissection and absorption during delicate surgical procedures. A center hole is incorporated to facilitate grip in a toothed forceps.
• Gardlok cherry sponges feature an X-ray detectable chip, rather than a tiny monofilament section, in the center of the sponge for enhanced visibility.
• Cherry sponge construction does not allow for the long monofilament incorporated in other Gardlok dissectors.
